Health Reports and DataThe Hawaii Health Data Warehouse is dedicated to providing useful data to support public health professionals, the community and health agencies to become more effective in the application of health data. Reports are organized into four categories in a drill-down system intended to make navigation for certain criteria easier. Top level or Level I are categorized by subject areas like Chronic Diseases, Healthy The second level contains specific health indicator reports related to the Level 1 subject Reports by CategoryThe reports in this section are categorized into subject areas like chronic diseases, healthy lifestyles, etc. The reports are from available data sources like the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System’s (BRFSS), Hawaii Health Survey (HHS), Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS), Youth Tobacco Surveillance and Evaluation System (YTS), and Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS). Reports by Data SourceReports are organized by data source (BRFSS, HHS, PRAMS, YTS,YRBS, and Vital Statistics) and within each data source, the reports are further categorized into subject areas like chronic diseases, healthy lifestyles, etc. In most cases the reports are subcategorized further (eg, under chronic diseases there are asthma, diabetes, hypertension, etc). Reports by CountyReports in this section are organized by counties (Hawaii, Honolulu, Kaua‘i and Maui) and sorted according to subject areas. County level data can be used to differentiate the needs of an individual county and help monitor progress. In these reports, results for the state are also given, so comparisons can be made across counties and to the state as a whole.. Reports by EthnicityThe reports in this section are organized by race/ethnicity. The categories include Native Hawaiian/part-Hawaiian, Caucasian, Filipino, and Japanese. The reports are based on the Leading Health Indicators set forth by Healthy People 2010. Values presented include the percent prevalence with 95% confidence intervals and the estimated population at risk for each indicator.
